ORIGINAL OIL PAINTING BY C. J. BARNARD
OIL ON CANVAS BOARD
11” X 14”
While on safari in Kenya, Africa, I encountered these extraordinary crowned cranes. I was captivated by their elegant appearance and, especially, the magnificent crown of feathers that gives the bird its name. Crowned Crane was inspired by that encounter and my desire to capture the distinctive beauty and almost regal presence of this remarkable African bird.
