Original painting by C. J. Barnard
Oil on canvas
8” X 10”
I was inspired to paint Moonlight Myrtle after seeing a beautiful full moon shining through the night sky, its light illuminating the autumn branches of a crepe myrtle. The leaves seemed to glow against the deep blue sky, transforming an ordinary view into something almost magical. I wanted to capture that fleeting moment when moonlight can make the familiar suddenly seem extraordinary.
